A Tradition of High-Temperature Materials Engineering & Fabrication Expertise

The Alloy Engineering Company was founded in 1943 with the goal of improving processes for high-temperature metal fabrication in the annealing industry. Founder Paul Menough was a pioneer in the use of alloy products in high-temperature casting applications. Over the years, the company has built a solid reputation as a designer and manufacturer of high-quality, alloy equipment for high-temperature furnaces and corrosive applications.

The company’s success can be attributed to its ability to deliver high quality, high-temperature and corrosion-resistant products backed by world-class engineering and industrial-furnace-application expertise and state-of-the-art manufacturing and alloy-fabrication techniques and its commitment to customer satisfaction.

The pursuit of these goals has led to an innovative, and highly effective, management structure. President and CEO Louis Petonovich, instrumental in developing the participatory-management concept at the company, explains “The workforce is composed of individual manufacturing teams, or profit cells. Each team member shares responsibility for the direction and execution of the team’s efforts. The result is a dedicated, well-informed, and motivated workforce that understands success ultimately depends on an appreciation and responsiveness to customer needs and concerns.”

Indicative of Alloy Engineering’s strategic growth philosophy, a series of recent acquisitions have enhanced the company’s ability to quickly respond to customer needs for high-temperature, corrosion-resistant alloy furnace-component fabrications and ancillary products.
