Alloy Engineering fabricates materials and provides engineering expertise to customers who utilize processes in high temperature and highly corrosive conditions. Since 1975, we have worked with gas, chemical holding and handling and refining companies to meet the needs of the chemical industry. We specialize in high-temperature   and corrosion-resistant alloys for the chemical processing industry.

We’re known for our ability to meet nitric acid and chemical industry specifications that call for the use of alloys that are difficult to machine and weld. Our reputation has been built on our ability to provide engineered solutions to solve recurring operation and maintenance problems through material selection recommendations and the fine-tuning of design parameters to afford longer service life in aggressive environments

Inspections and Certifications
Alloy Engineering understands the need to meet and exceed stringent requirements of chemical plants and refinery environments that use our pressure vessels and air-cooled heat exchangers. Our certifications include: 

  • API 660 and 661 
  • ASME: S, U and R stamps 
  • FEA
  • ASME-Certified Manufacturing: Our welders are AWS-certified; products are manufactured according to AWS specifications by team of AWS-certified welders. 
  • HTRI software means we can thermally rate mechanically designed air-cooled heat exchangers and shell and tube heat exchanger. 

State-of-the-Art Machining Capabilities
Alloy Engineering is committed to meeting our customers’ needs by staying at the forefront of manufacturing innovations and having state-of-the-art equipment in both of our facilities.

We’re excited to offer customers our new in-house cladding and machining capabilities, including on-premise horizontal boring mill and three vertical turning lathes. Capabilities include:

  • Can turn diameters up to 110’’ and mill materials that fall within a 14x20-ft. work package
  • Working crane height: 15’ 6’ under hook 

Our production capabilities include a full line of metal bending and forming equipment that allows us to form large, high-integrity fabrications with a minimum of seams.

Blasting and Painting 
We made the decision to bring this function in-house to save customers time and money. By finishing our products, we control the process which allows quicker response time. Alloy Engineering paints to SSPC specifications for protective coating specifications that are widely used with pollution control products.
