Pressure Vessel Fabrication: We’re Your Ideal Choice

From chemicals producers to automotive OEMs and suppliers to oil & gas players and beyond, pressure vessel fabrication can play an important role in how the industry functions. That’s why having a competent pressure vessel fabricator is critical for operational and safety reasons. This isn’t a task businesses take lightly, given the potentially catastrophic downside a ruptured pressure vessel could cause. Consequently, companies want someone with deep experience in designing, engineering, fabricating, and testing a pressure vessel that can give years of robust service.

Over 80 years of custom metal fabrication experience

With over 80 years’ experience fabricating complex alloy structures and systems, we are experts at every stage of pressure vessel fabrication.

Concept development. We’re often called upon to contribute ideas and suggestions when customers start new pressure vessel fabrication projects. Given our many years of experience and state-of-the-art welding and fabrication expertise, our customers recognize the value of these contributions. From problem-solving designs to selecting the materials and alloys to make the vessel to completing the job, Alloy Engineering is your one-stop resource.

Engineering. From stress investigations to failure mode and effects analysis, our team is ready to guide your project using the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies. Material selection is critical during this stage: Is stainless steel the best choice for your vessel? Or titanium, aluminum, or a nickel alloy? It depends on the application and the need for corrosion resistance, durability, and cost. We work with customers to find the best, most cost-effective compromise for their project.

Fabrication. The fabrication stage draws all the materials, parts, and components together to complete the vessel. Forged, machined parts are assembled, while tank parts undergo blanking, bending, forming, assembly, and welding to create the completed vessel. We have designed and built many components and vessels conforming to ASME specifications.

Test and validation. All vessels undergo a post-fabrication visual inspection, , and dimensional inspection. Testing includes subjecting the vessel to pressures that exceed the design intent to test for leakage and structural weakness. All the materials used undergo comprehensive documentation as well as material test certificates for quality assurance.
