Meeting ASME Standards with Exceptional Pressure Vessel Fabrication

Pressure vessels play major roles in many industries, including chemical processing, oil and gas, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and energy.  Alloy Engineering is well-known as a leading pressure vessel fabricator. Our highly competent engineering and fabrication teams have the capabilities to meet or exceed the exacting standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

We fabricate every ASME “U” stamp pressure vessel following ASME Code Section VIII Division I. In effect, it’s your guarantee that every pressure vessel has been designed, built, inspected, and tested according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Our ASME certification enables us to develop the welding procedures needed to create the pressure vessels our customers’ demand.

Our reputation as a leading ASME vessel fabrication expert rests on these three attributes: customization, deep material knowledge, and rigorous quality control. We can build ASME U-stamp pressure vessels for virtually any industry and have broad customization experience, tailoring solutions to meet specific application requirements. Our deep knowledge of materials ensures that each pressure vessel is constructed with optimum alloys, which enhances durability and corrosion resistance. We also adhere to rigorous quality control measures throughout fabrication to guarantee that each vessel meets or exceeds ASME standards.

Alloy Engineering’s capabilities

We’re proud of our many accomplishments and have the certifications to back them up. In addition to U-Stamp, we also have S-Stamp (power and water boilers) certification and R-Stamp (repairing and altering pressure-retaining items as certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors). We have AWS-CWI and AWS-SCWI welding inspectors and Level II and ASNT TC-1A certified NDE inspectors. We offer in-house visual helium leak tests, PT, MT, PMI, and Phased Array UT. We have access to certified vendors for RT, UT, and Ferrite. We also provide fan vibration testing, balancing, and shaft run-out testing.

Leveraging technology for better design

Our engineering team uses PV Elite, a pressure vessel design software package that helps engineers and designers design, analyze, and validate pressure vessels. Our team applies Finite Element Analysis (FEA), which enables them to conduct fluid dynamics and electromagnetic analyses and test for the structural and thermal stresses the product could undergo. Our engineers also use SolidWorks 3D, a computer-aided design software package that allows them to create, edit, and analyze 3D models and assemblies without generating excess numbers of prototypes. That saves you money.
