We specialize in the fabrication of equipment and parts that can withstand high temperatures and corrosive environments – like vacuum chambers used for heat treating. With decades of experience, we have the expertise to customize a vessel to meet your exact specifications, and we can assist you with design optimization and material selection, as well. Here’s a look at what we do.

Vacuum Chamber Fabrication Includes:

  • ASME code calculations
  • Provide detailed drawings (or use those provided by the OEM)
  • Plate rolling
  • Fitting of nozzles and flanges
  • Machining of chamber and door flanges
  • Machining of power ports and hinge components
  • Structural support fabrication
  • Welding to ASME standards
  • Blasting and painting.
  • Non-destructive examinations, including dye-penetrant or x-ray testing

As a certified ASME Code Section I and Section VIII, Division I fabrication shop, we have the tools necessary to manage all of your vacuum chamber fabrication needs. We can meet your most demanding quality and engineering requirements, which will allow you to achieve a vacuum solution that is perfectly tailored for your application. We’re able to achieve this by performing every aspect of production at our own facility. Take a look at our in-house capabilities.

Our welding capabilities are second-to-none. We have a wide array of welding processes, including a laser-guided, automated welding manipulator that’s capable of both MiG and Sub-Arc. This manipulator is an ideal fit for the girth and seam welds found in vacuum furnace. Here’s a look at all of our welding capabilities:

  • Manipulators
  • Welders qualified to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1
  • Robotic manipulator-SAW, GMAW
  • Strip cladding weld overlays
  • SAW
  • GTAW
  • GMAW
  • FCAW
  • PAW

Our machining capabilities allow us to maintain full control of the scheduling and inspection requirements of your vacuum chamber components, as well as the final machining stages of the complete assembly. Here’s a look at all of our machining capabilities:

  • CNC horizontal boring mill 168” capacity
  • Large turning 84” Ø x 37’ OAL
  • CNC lathe 80” Ø x 14’ OAL
  • Milling machines, drill presses, grinders
  • Vertical turning lathes up to 110” capacity x 66”H
  • Pipe end machining
  • Saws
